The body and mind are inseparable when it comes to caring for yourself. You can sense when your body tells you about your mind, and when your mind tells you about your body. For that reason, everything you do when you care about yourself will affect the other.
The body is a big part of my “Self-love” work. It has a direct connection to who we are and what we are capable of. Our body is an amazing tool for us to learn about everything, which is super intelligent. Even thinking about how our body function’s is fascinating and still a mystery for us in many ways. It does an incredible job of renewing itself every moment without us even being aware of it. Since it has its own connection with our real nature (source), we need to be more body aware to sense that connection with source.
A healthy body will give you greater possibilities for this connection. Food is the fuel for our body and eating is one of the activities that help us to feel the strong bliss that we have in us.
When you start taking care of yourself, you will open the door to something that is magnificent about your body. The food you cook, how you serve it, how you eat it, getting in contact with your body, seeing the changes in your body, having fun while you are cooking, feeling amazing because you honor your body is just some of the miracles you will have.
I guess, I am one of the living examples of extremes of wellbeing, having a great healthy body now and a unhealthy body in the past.
It was very clear that I didn’t have a healthy body when I was told I had an aggressive type of Breast Cancer. (Triple Negative-stage 2, grade 3).
There are other parts that actually play a huge role in our health other than food, including stress, exercise, relaxation and honoring our body.
I embrace health as a complete package that includes body, mind and life-style.
In my second chance at life; after cancer, I started to look after myself in a totally different way than before. I created a huge ‘body awareness’ and ‘self care’. I call these my ‘ self-love routines’.
My body was full of toxins from chemotherapy. I had the body of a 80 year old when I was only 39. And now, I feel like my 8-year-old daughter and never run out of battery!
The most common thing that I hear from almost everyone, no matter what their age; even from kids and teenagers, they say, ‘I am tired nearly every day’. That is not the only symptom that people have.
One of the reasons for this, is the food we eat isn’t alive, there is no vitality or good nutrients to give our body the energy it needs. We eat mostly to stop our hunger, and that’s all!
This book talks about a real experience from having a body with cancer to a cancer free body with great health and vitality.
I want to emphasize one thing about the food we eat. We all need to eat food that has life in it, not the food factories make, packed months ago, from some sort of chemical formula, and they are made with bad sugar, bad fat and bad carbs. As a result of eating those foods, our bodies become like a toxic waste and our liver really struggles to process it. On top of it, if we are not eating what our body needs, not enough antioxidants, micronutrients, minerals, the results then shouldn’t come as a surprise!
When your body has the right fuel, you won’t feel tired, and your tolerance will be higher, you won’t be wound up with stress, sadness or anger easily. When you eat real food, you will feel close to your true nature.
